From Perfumes to Flames – My Journey of Scent & Sculpted Beauty
Hi, I’m Hilda Rodriguez, founder of Dahil Bar.
My love for fragrance has always been about more than scent. To me, fragrance holds emotion, awakens memories, and transforms the way a space feels. My creative journey began with perfume, blending different notes to capture a feeling in a bottle. Over time, that passion led me to another form of scented artistry: candle-making.
I quickly discovered that candles could offer so much more than fragrance. They bring warmth, light, comfort, and personality into a home. I fell in love with hand-pouring wax into elegant pieces that could be enjoyed as décor before ever being lit.
Dahil Bar has also grown alongside my family. My husband, Miguel, has supported me throughout this journey, and my stepson, Alvaro, and daughter, Valentina, are a beautiful part of the life and home that inspire me every day. Becoming a mother and building a home with my family have made meaningful moments, welcoming spaces, and lasting memories even more important to me.
Every Dahil Bar candle brings together my love for fragrance, art, sculpture, and thoughtful design. Each piece is handmade to engage the senses from the moment you see it to the moment you light it.
